START
Left career as musician/songwriter and freelance writer for teaching, programming, management; career evolved into international consulting on health financing, policy, and data analysis (20+ countries, USAID, World Bank, corporations)
2000s
TRANSITION
Early blogger; one of several founding writers credited with the early success of the Huffington Post. In 2007, predicted the political and financial problems faced by what eventually became the Affordable Care Act and proposed a single-payer system. Worked in long-range forecasting. Led the pandemic section of a massive multiplayer disaster-response "game." Was published in "Rough Guide to the Future" anthology, and in three editions of "Best Buddhist Writing of the Year."
2010-2015
WRITING ON ECONOMICS; BROADCASTING
Became a Senior Fellow, Campaign for America's Future. Focused on Wall Street crime, economics, benk reform, and health economics. Created the Zero Hour radio program under the sponsorship of Social Security Works. Began work on student debt issue with Freedom to Prosper. Built a profile as a political writer -- The Nation, Salon, American Prospect, LA Times,etc.
Warned Democrats of upcoming losses in House and Senate. Supported tuition-free higher education; proposed a democratically run "People's Fed" to replace the current central bank. First to call for reorganizing Big Tech corporations as public utilities.
2015-2016
SANDERS CAMPAIGN
Hired by Bernie Sanders as lead writer and editor for his presidential campaign prior to the campaign's launch (March 2015); left when campaign shut down in the summer of 2016. Became Senior Fellow for Health and Economic Justice at Social Security Works.
As a writer, challenged conventional wisdom and suggested Trump could win in July 2016.

The Zero Hour has expanded to television on Free Speech TV. Continued freelance writing for multiple news outlets and Absolute Zero newsletter.
